Midnight Sun Kayak Adventure

There’s something mesmerising about watching the sun gleaming on the horizon. If you’re a fan of this kind of experience, witnessing the midnight sun will leave you speechless! Northern Explorer has curated this tour especially for those who want to enjoy kayaking under the brightly lit midnight sky. Join them on a paddling adventure across the beautiful islands of Lofoten.

At 10:00 pm, as the night sets in, it will be time to gear up in your paddling attire and head to the trip's starting point. With the sun still shining in the sky, you’ll notice the night getting darker but never pitch black. This is when the midnight sun period begins, so be ready for some jaw-dropping views. Get your paddles ready and settle into your kayak as you will embark on a laid-back paddling experience amidst the serene nature of Lofoten.

Passing by the coastline, you’ll cross paths with small islands dotting the clear waters, keep an eye out for exclusive bird species making an appearance in the sky or nearby. As you paddle with your group into the sea, your guide will entertain you with stories about the islands and the Vikings. There will be breaks during the trip to enjoy a warm cup of homemade tea. When it's time to return to shore, you’ll paddle back to the starting point. 

Please note that it is not mandatory to have prior kayaking experience to enrol for this tour.

Make sure to bring all items mentioned in the list sent to you by the tour provider. Apart from the clothing and equipment mentioned in it, please bring warm clothes, sunglasses, gloves, a raincoat, a hat, and, of course, a camera!
